The primary purpose of this position is: This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. The purpose of the position is to manage the training program within the unit maintenance organization.
This program includes but is not limited to: on-the-job training (OJT); civilian training requirements; retraining; formal school; instructional systems development (ISO); professional military education; ancillary training; unit training planning; providing technical guidance and assistance to managers and supervisors within maintenance on all aspects of the training programs elements; preparing briefings regarding status of programs; and providing training to newly assigned personnel, those within maintenance functions and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks herein.
DUTIES: DUTY 1: Manages, plans, and directs the maintenance training program. Manages, researches, and interprets statistical data to make determinations regarding all training matters which may involve or affect ARTs, reservists, and civilian employees. Manages, implements and oversees all aspects of On-the-Job Training program for maintenance group personnel (ARTs, reservists, civilian employees, supervisors, managers, etc.).
DUTY 2: Manages special certification training program. Monitors and arranges required training specific to maintenance personnel. Develops and coordinates training schedules with Maintenance Supervision to ensure minimum disruption to the maintenance program and maximum availability of trainees. Conducts applicable maintenance testing and updates MIS accordingly. DUTY 3: Conducts formal and informal staff assistance visits to organizations within unit(s).
Provides managers/supervisors with information regarding training matters for which incumbent is responsible. Manages unit ancillary training programs. DUTY 4: Outlines and directs implementation of the maintenance training programs for supervisors and trainers. Instructs and modifies the Air Force Training Course as needed. Certifies training managers to instruct the Air Force Training Course. DUTY 5: Maintains automated training references.
Procures and maintains applicable training reference materials. Develop and provide forecasts for training. Coordinate with supervision/wing training/resource advisors and Unit Deployment Manager (UDM) to determine training needs and requirements for unit personnel (i.e.; Seasoning Training Program (STP), formal schools, civilian training, and simulators etc.).

Official transcripts are not required at the time of application; however, if position has a positive degree requirement, qualifying based on education alone or in combination with experience, transcripts must be verified prior to appointment. An accrediting institution recognized by the U.S.
Department of Education must accredit education. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

The posted pay range is $61722 – $80243/yr.
This position requires a Secret security clearance.
