Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer - Level 2 to serve as a Training System Integrator (TSI) for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program at the MDIOC in Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. You will operate and maintain the GFC/C training system, interfacing with Government personnel during training and upgrades, and configure systems with UNIX/Linux tools.

The role requires a STEM degree with experience, US citizenship, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years of related work experience, or Master’s in STEM with 0-2 years of experience.
U.S. Citizens able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (interim clearance may be required).
Willing to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
Proficient in Python coding or scripting.
Experience with UNIX/Linux platforms and technical communications.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain the GFC/C Training System for daily sustainment training at the MDIOC facility.
Interface daily with MDIOC, internal, external, and Government personnel during training and system modifications/upgrades.
Configure GFC systems using UNIX/LINUX CLI and other delivered tools; verify training configurations and system readiness.
Work with MDIOC GMD teammates to resolve GFC, network, or other simulation issues; report anomalies and perform daily cleanup.
