Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a Training Supervisor at our Denver, CO station. This role will manage and deliver field station training for ramp operations through classroom, hands-on and verbal instruction, while promoting a safety-first culture in line with company policies.

The incumbent will oversee training compliance for Frontier Ramp operations at Denver International Airport, and support safety, security and education initiatives through ongoing programs and certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering training for ramp operations or similar high-safety environments.
• Ability to conduct trainings in classroom, hands-on, and verbal formats.
• Knowledge of health, safety and security regulations related to aviation operations.

Responsibilities

• Effectively deliver new hire and annual recurrent training for all station personnel.
• Deliver ramp OJT and Driver Training – Secondary OJT and other training based on qualifications.
• Project a professional image and conduct at all times.
• Align training delivery with safe, secure operations and statutory requirements.
• Support employees in health and safety compliance initiatives.
• Assist with management of Health and Safety at Work regulations training alignment.
• Report breaches of statutory requirements or best practice to management.
• Participate in safety audits and provide corrective action support.

The Training Supervisor will perform as a functional trainer and be responsible for administering field station training programs for ramp operations through classroom, hands on and verbal instruction. This individual will also assist and provide support to training management on matters of safety, security and education through training and training programs. As well as proactively promote a “safety first” culture by introducing safe working procedures in accordance with Menzies Aviation’s policies and procedures.

Responsible for training compliance & oversight for all aspects of the Frontier Ramp operation at Denver International Airport. Oversight of employee training and the continued training & compliance of the ramp personnel. The position will be required to receive and maintain Frontier ramp training certification, Menzies Aviation trainer certification and other certifications as needed.

Unloading and loading of luggage, freight and cargo on and off commercial aircraft. Driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles. Position requires: heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching

Main accountabilities include:

• Effectively deliver new hire and annual recurrent training for all station personnel
• Effectively deliver ramp OJT and Driver Training – Secondary OJT and other training based on training qualifications.
• Project a professional image/conduct at all times
• Ensure that the delivery of training courses is aligned to support and ensure safe and secure operations in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security, and all government statutory requirements.
• Support employees and supervisors in undertaking the protective and preventative measures necessary to achieve compliance with health and safety legislation as it applies to them.
• Support corporate compliance by ensuring that training is aligned to promote and support applicable Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations
• Report any breaches of statutory requirements or company best practice to management.
• Participate in safety audits daily and provide corrective action assistance to management.
