Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to oversee ramp agents, load and unload luggage and cargo, and operate small ground support equipment as needed. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, completing shift reports, interpreting loading instructions, and ensuring compliance with company safety regulations. Flexibility for variable shifts and weather conditions is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must pass all pre-employment testing including a drug test.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Capable of lifting comfortably 70 lbs.
• At least one year of ramp experience preferred.
• Must be able to complete Training.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Work is indoors and outdoors; comfortable in all weather conditions.

Directs the work of ramp agents as they unload and load luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft. Drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles. Physical demands include heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Supervise lead agents; allocating ramp agent resources as needed.
• Complete shift reports and clear all exceptions from the T&A system in a timely manner
• Ensure that ramp personnel adheres to established company safety regulations.
• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifest, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Assist in the baggage handling area.
• May occasionally operate various pieces of ground support equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Must be at least 18 years of age;
