Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Center Manager in Corpus Christi, TX to oversee production-area staff and ensure high-quality plasma collection.

You will monitor training, review QC records, coordinate new employee orientation and participate in hiring, and drive performance, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Frequent standing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs; gloves worn for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

• Review Quality Control Records.
• Coordinate and perform new employee orientation and participate in hiring.

About the role: Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. You will report to the Center Manager and oversee the general management of employees assigned to the production areas.

BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.

How you will contribute

• You will monitor center training needs to ensure completion of cross-training and annual re-certification training
• You will review Quality Control Records
• You will coordinate and perform new employee orientation and participate in the hiring process
• You will manage the production area, motivate employees to meet their performance goals and comply with company quality standards and procedures
• You will consult and refer to management team for escalated donor/employee concerns
• You will counsel hourly staff on operational, safety, and customer service concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

What you bring to Takeda

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) certification
• Frequent bending and reaching. Requires ability to walk and stand for entire shift, frequent lifting to 32 pounds, and occasional lifting to 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to monitor equipment from a distance
• Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, pro-longed glove wear is required
