Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited subsidiary, seeks an operations supervisor in Corpus Christi, TX. You will oversee production area staff, monitor training, and ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures to drive daily performance.

You will coordinate new employee orientation, participate in hiring, and work with management to address donor and employee concerns while promoting safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Able to stand for the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to monitor equipment from a distance.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens; glove wear is required.

About the role: Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. You will report to the Center Manager and oversee the general management of employees assigned to the production areas.

BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.

How you will contribute

• You will monitor center training needs to ensure completion of cross-training and annual re-certification training
• You will review Quality Control Records
• You will coordinate and perform new employee orientation and participate in the hiring process
• You will manage the production area, motivate employees to meet their performance goals and comply with company quality standards and procedures
• You will consult and refer to management team for escalated donor/employee concerns
• You will counsel hourly staff on operational, safety, and customer service concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

What you bring to Takeda

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) certification
• Frequent bending and reaching. Requires ability to walk and stand for entire shift, frequent lifting to 32 pounds, and occasional lifting to 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to monitor equipment from a distance
• Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, pro-longed glove wear is required

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$22.80 - $31.35
