Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Center Manager at BioLife Plasma Services in Columbus, OH. You will oversee production-area staff, ensure cross-training, and supervise daily operations to meet quality and safety standards.

You will coordinate onboarding and participate in hiring while driving continuous improvement and ensuring donor and staff safety in a fast-paced plasma center.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Frequent bending, standing for long shifts, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged glove wear due to bloodborne exposure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor center training needs and ensure cross-training and recertification.
• Review Quality Control Records.
• Coordinate and perform new employee orientation and participate in hiring.
• Manage production area and motivate staff to meet performance goals.
• Consult with management on donor/employee concerns.

About The Role

Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. You will report to the Center Manager and oversee the general management of employees assigned to the production areas.

How You Will Contribute

• You will monitor center training needs to ensure completion of cross-training and annual re-certification training
• You will review Quality Control Records
• You will coordinate and perform new employee orientation and participate in the hiring process
• You will manage the production area, motivate employees to meet their performance goals and comply with company quality standards and procedures
• You will consult and refer to management team for escalated donor/employee concerns
• You will counsel hourly staff on operational, safety, and customer service concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

What You Bring To Takeda

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) certification
• Frequent bending and reaching. Requires ability to walk and stand for entire shift, frequent lifting to 32 pounds, and occasional lifting to 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to monitor equipment from a distance
• Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, pro-longed glove wear is required
