Job summary

The Metropolitan Council is seeking a Training Specialist to deliver instructor-led skills training across the organization. You will analyze needs, design and develop training, present sessions, and evaluate outcomes, with emphasis on leadership, management, and both professional and technical skills.

This role supports the Council's New Employee Orientation (NEO) and related learning initiatives, and offers hybrid remote/onsite work arrangement.

Job description

The Training Specialist will provide instructor-led skills training to employees from all areas of the organization. They are involved in all aspects of the training process - analyzing needs, designing and developing training, presenting the training, and conducting evaluation. Skills and content covered in the training include leadership, management, and professional and technical skill development. Training may also include application of technology to work processes. They are also responsible for other training-related functions, such as management of learning in1tiat1ves and facilitation of work and project groups. In addition, they provide facilitation and some administration of the Council 's New Employee Orientation (NEO) programming (every Monday, except agency holidays).

This position is eligible for hybrid (remote and onsite) teleworking.
