Job summary

Hope is seeking a Training Specialist II in Melrose Park, IL to train new and existing employees and to coordinate, develop, implement and revise employee trainings for Hope Autism Programs.

The role involves managing training schedules, assisting with audits, maintaining training records, and delivering engaging sessions using Relias and Hope University. Travel to multiple sites andCertification attainment are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
• 2 years of experience in employee training or development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate employee development, training, and orientation programs, including but not limited to new employee training for Hope Autism programs, Safety Care, and CPR/First Aid trainings.
• Communicate with program managers regarding issues with employees in new hire training (including but not limited to issues related to knowledge retention, failure to meet required training standards, attendance & performance) and complete discipline as necessary.
• Monitor and ensure staff are in compliance and current with all training requirements by running reports, scheduling trainings, notifying departments of staff needing training, and conducting the trainings.
• Assign courses in Hope University and Relias to employees as well as approve employee uploaded documents and chart them where required.
• Input completed trainings into required websites, software and spreadsheets and obtain trainees’ training certifications.
• Maintain records related to the completion of all required staff trainings.
• Create interactive trainings and PowerPoints from developed materials as well as researching new information to put into trainings.
• Assist with audits for various internal and external agencies (including state funding and licensing bodies).
• Attain and then maintain trainer certifications in Safety Care and CPR/First Aid.
• Complete all required trainings.
