The Training Specialist II will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing agency-wide training and employee development programs. Duties will include assessing training needs, developing training materials, coordinating training schedules and instructors, facilitating training sessions, assisting with new employee orientation and onboarding, maintaining training records, evaluating training effectiveness, and providing professional development opportunities for employees and supervisors. The position will work closely with Human Resources and agency leadership to identify training needs and support workforce development initiatives. During periods when training demands are limited, the Training Specialist II will assist the Human Resources team with current agency needs and projects. This may include assisting with employee benefits, benefits-related inquiries, data updates, and benefits reconciliation, as well as other HR responsibilities based on agency priorities and workload. The position will also assist with special projects and other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the Human Resources Division.
The successful candidate should have strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the agency. The position requires someone who is adaptable, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines. Strong presentation and facilitation skills are important, as the position will regularly coordinate and deliver training to diverse groups of employees.
