Job summary

CorVel Corporation is seeking a Training Specialist I in Fort Worth, TX. You will develop the knowledge and presentation skills of CERIS Operations staff trainers, ensuring an equipped workforce to meet client requirements and service expectations.

You will conduct classroom, virtual, and field training, develop materials, monitor new hires, and support the Training Manager with ongoing program improvements.

Qualifications

  • Preferred degree in HR, education/training or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience as a trainer in classroom-led and remote online environments.
  • Experience with management and administration of a Learning Management System.
  • Experience in creating training support materials and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Management to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions.
  • Develop programs and curriculum for each department for orientation and on the job training.
  • Collaborate with each department to create training support materials and documentation.
  • Create and maintain a “train the trainer” program for all departments.
  • Conduct surveys to judge how programs are received and if changes are needed.
  • Monitor onboarding training for new employees.
  • Create, maintain, and update training materials, SOPs, job aids, workflows, and reference guides.
  • Ensure all training content remains accurate, compliant, and aligned with current business processes.
  • Incorporate training materials in operations software for quick and easy access to knowledge base.
  • Develop competency assessments and learning evaluations to measure knowledge retention.
  • Document process changes and maintain version-controlled training and operational documentation.
  • Stay current on adult learning principles, instructional design best practice, and emerging training technologies.
  • Additional projects and duties as assigned

Training Specialist I

The Training Specialist is responsible for developing the knowledge and presentations skills of CERIS Operations department staff trainers. This role ensures that CERIS is equipped with an Operations workforce that can optimize its current and future goals and objectives, and deliver quality services that can meet our clients’ requirements and service expectations. In order to efficiently execute his/her daily responsibilities, the Training Specialist must first possess a deep understanding of the business to articulate what CERIS does and to clearly demonstrate all aspects of the Operations roles in order to be able to successfully train and oversee the department trainers.

Other duties to be carried out by Training Specialist will include conducting classroom, virtual, and field training to internal employees/colleagues, developing training materials as needed, monitoring new hires, and performing other tasks as required by the Training Manager.

This is a hybrid position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $52,928 – $79,143
