Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Training Specialist to design and lead training programs for Admission, Discharge and Transfer (ADT) processes and Patient Access workflows. You will create materials, deliver sessions, and support clinics through go-live while ensuring accuracy in insurance verification, forms, and HIPAA compliance.

$27.45 - $43.92 per hour
Hybrid remote in Washington State only

Job Summary:

Responsible for creating and leading training programs that teach personnel various techniques and methods on specific computer systems, programs and processes for Admission Discharge Transfer (ADT) Registration and Scheduling. Responsible for training new hires and providing refresher/retraining courses for all EvergreenHealth staff performing ADT functions. Gathers and analyzes data to produce quality reports, tracks and trends data findings and provides retraining based on analysis.

Primary Duties:

• 1.Creates and maintains registration, scheduling training material (written and computer-based) for Patient Access and Specialty Clinics.
• 2.Consults with Patient Access management on training strategies and needs.
• 3.Provides training for Patient Access staff and EH Clinics to include downtime registration procedure, insurance verification, forms (ie: Consent for Care, HIPAA Privacy Practice, Medicare Important Message, Advanced Beneficiary Notice/Notice of Non-coverage), required brochures, physician orders, cash management, interpreters and other requirements as identified by management.
• 4.Provides training for EH Clinics to include registration Cerner Introduction, insurance verification, forms (ie: Consent for Care, HIPAA Privacy Practice, Advanced Beneficiary Notice/Notice of Non-coverage), required brochures, physician orders. Provides on-boarding training for new clinics and go-live support.
• 5.Conducts audits based upon key performance indicators using standardized best practice and provides results to Patient Access and Clinic Management. Recommends plans for improvement based on analysis of audits.
• 6.Provides relief registration/scheduling coverage for vacations, sick, leaves and other needs as determined by manager.

REQUIRED for the position:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 3 years of admitting/registration experience within a hospital or medical setting Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver training programs utilizing skills in instructional design
• Exceptionally skilled at engaging participants in both classroom and electronic classroom environments.
• Working knowledge of insurances
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent communication skills to effectively obtain information from patients, physicians, other clients
• Ability to function independently, organizes work, multitasks, and establishes priorities
