Job summary

Curant Health in Smyrna, GA is seeking a Training Specialist to join its team. You will design and deliver onboarding for staff at all levels, create learner-friendly materials, and deliver both virtual and in-person trainings across clinical and operational areas.

The role requires a Pharmacy Technician background with 3+ years of healthcare experience, an active license or 90-day attainment window, and strong communication, organization, and MS Office skills. Occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of proven work experience as a Pharmacy Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting.
  • Pharmacy Technician license required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and translate moderately complex pharmacy or technical documents into learner-friendly training materials.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, both in-person and virtual.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with various learners.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs assessments with department leadership to identify training gaps and prioritize learning initiatives.
  • Design and deliver onboarding education for staff at all levels/roles on an as-needed basis.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and maintain evidence-based training materials, including guides, presentations, eLearning modules, and other tools.
  • Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions using methods such as group discussions, lectures, simulations, and 1:1 on-the-job training.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and learning outcomes for leadership and employee records.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Curant Health practices, programs, products, policies, and technologies.
  • Support implementation of new or existing workflows, technology, or initiatives through targeted trainings.
  • Function as a subject matter expert for operational processes and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with managers and quality improvement teams to address performance or knowledge deficits.
  • Occasional travel to other Curant Health locations and offsite pharmacies and clinics.
  • Attend seminars, meetings, and conferences to learn new training methodologies to improve training outcomes.

Requirements
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience in the relevant field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of proven work experience as a Pharmacy Technician or similar role/industry, with experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician license is required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with electronic learning management systems is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and streamline moderately complex pharmacy or technical documents into learner-friendly training documents and modules.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills (both in-person and virtual).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and connect, engage with various personality types and learning styles.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
