AAA Northeast is seeking a Training Specialist to design, develop, and deliver impactful learning experiences that align with employee development and organizational objectives. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs, create engaging programs, and support leadership development.

The role emphasizes designing orientation programs, facilitating sessions, and evaluating training impact across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Education, HR, Organizational Development, Business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of direct corporate training experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, both virtual and in-person.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver New Hire Orientation programs and materials.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation sessions across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain leadership development curriculum for People Leaders.
  • Lead leadership training sessions for new and existing People Leaders.
  • Consult with business lines to assess learning needs and propose solutions.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and translate requirements into learning strategies.
  • Create instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning solutions.
  • Develop participant and facilitator guides, job aids, and presentations.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback.

Job description

This Training Specialist position is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering impactful learning experiences that support employee development and organizational objectives. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to identify training needs, create engaging learning solutions, and facilitate high-quality training programs across the organization.What you will do:Design, develop, and continuously enhance New Hire Orientation programs and supporting learning materials.Facilitate engaging and effective New Hire Orientation sessions for employees across the organization.Design, develop, and maintain leadership development curriculum, with a primary focus on People Leader Programs.Facilitate leadership training sessions for new and existing People Leaders.Consult with business lines and department leaders to assess learning needs and recommend training solutions.Conduct training needs analyses and translate business requirements into effective learning strategies.Create instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning solutions using adult learning principles.Develop participant guides, facilitator guides, job aids, presentations, and other learning resources.Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on participant feedback and business outcomes.Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to support organizational learning and development initiatives.Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.What You Will NeedBachelor's degree in Training & Development, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field preferred.Minimum of 4 years of direct corporate training experience.Demonstrated experience in instructional design and curriculum development.Strong facilitation and presentation skills, both virtual and in-person.Demonstrated management experience in leading a team.Experience consulting with business partners to identify and address training needs.Knowledge of adult learning principles and training best practices, such as Kirkpatrick’s model of evaluation.Excellent communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning technologies.Preferred Requirements:Experience developing leadership or people leader training programs.Experience facilitating both in-person and virtual training sessions.Industry certifications such as ATD, FranklinCovey, DiSC, or similar learning and development credentials.Work Arrangement:Hybrid position with a combination of remote and in-office work (schedule to be determined).Why AAA NortheastCareer Growth: With ongoing world-class training and proven career paths, you'll have the opportunity to develop expertise and advance your career within AAA Northeast.Trusted Legacy: With over 120 years of service excellence, we have a long track record of protecting our members as well as our employees and their families.Future-Focused: With new business offerings and increasing digital presence, we are focused on innovating for the future to sustain our success.What We OfferAward-Winning: We’ve been named as a Top Employer for the last 7 yearsHealth Coverage: Medical coverage with employer contributions covering up to 93% of the premium cost, plus dental and vision options.Retirement: 6% company match on 401(k) retirement plan contribution, with contributions fully vested and made every pay periodPaid Time off: 3 weeks’ vacation, 12 holidays, 8 sick days, 48 hours of volunteer time annuallyAdditional Perks: Free AAA membership, insurance discounts, travel commission refund, up to $625 in Wellness Incentives, up to $6k in tuition reimbursement, and more!Compensation: Competitive base pay, annual bonus opportunities, and for certain roles, additional monthly and/or quarterly incentive compensation.
