Job summary

Brooksource in Providence, RI is seeking an experienced Training professional to organize, develop, and deliver technical and operational training programs.

You will facilitate instructor-led and on-the-job training, collaborate with product and operations teams, assess training effectiveness, and stay current with LMS technologies.

This role requires strong communication, facilitation, and project-management skills, with flexibility to work onsite, remote, or hybrid.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of progressive training experience.
  • Experience creating and facilitating technical and operational training programs for classroom and eLearning environments.
  • Ability to absorb information from multiple stakeholders and translate it into practical training solutions.
  • Excellent facilitation, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of LMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, develop, plan, and execute all aspects of training curriculum, including instructor-led training modules, procedure manuals, job aids, eLearning assets, and assessments.
  • Facilitate instructor-led and on-the-job training programs, demonstrations, meetings, and workshops using existing and newly developed training resources, systems, and tools.
  • Collaborate with operational and product teams to identify training gaps and develop effective solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to remain aligned with future training requirements and changes to established programs.
  • Maintain and report on program participation, assessment results, retraining requirements, and recommended improvements to training programs and strategies.
  • Engage with functional leaders and teams to implement training requirements and drive continuous improvements to training programs and practices.
  • Develop and implement assessment criteria and processes to evaluate training effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay current with the latest training methods, techniques, technologies, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Continuously strive to improve the overall training experience and effectiveness.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to identify, gain, and share best practices.
  • Support emergency and special-assignment activities when required by business operations.
  • Be flexible to work onsite, remotely, or in a hybrid environment based on business requirements.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or at least five years of progressive training experience.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and facilitating technical and operational training programs and materials for classroom and eLearning environments.
  • Ability to absorb information from multiple stakeholders and functional teams and translate it into practical, creative training solutions.
  • Ability to achieve timely results in a highly technical and operational environment.
  • Excellent facilitation, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple training programs, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of industry-leading training methods, platforms, tools, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant training/program software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of electric or gas policies, processes, systems, tariffs, and general industry practices.
  • Understanding of customer experience processes and systems within a regulated environment.
  • Exposure to utility regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Utility industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Training Development: Ability to design and develop effective technical and operational training programs.
  • Facilitation: Strong classroom, virtual, workshop, and on-the-job training facilitation skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding Others: Ability to understand stakeholder needs, perspectives, and concerns, even when they are not explicitly communicated.
