Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Training Simulation Engineer to shape software-based training environments for our hardware and software solutions. You will design and implement web frameworks to interact with Lattice OS through TypeScript, xAPI, and other protocols, handling end-to-end training scenarios.

You will work across multiple technical domains, optimizing front-end and back-end communication, and contributing to a simulation stack that supports global users and diverse customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building production web applications in JavaScript/TypeScript (React, RxJS).
• Experience with xAPI/CMI5 and LMS/LRS integrations.
• Proficiency with backend languages such as C++, Rust, or Golang.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack features for end-user trainer scenario construction and deployment.
• Integrate flight simulations and other emulators for robot representations in simulation.
• Create NPC logic for scene noise and adversary target behaviors.
• Create scalable modules adaptable to various customer contexts.
• Participate in simulation event readiness reviews.
• Design instructional tool tips and video for non-technical users.
• Participate and execute training scenario development.
• Identify pain points and improve training experiences and ecosystem.
• Work across the stack (frontend, backend, build, CI/CD) to get things done.
• Mentor fellow engineers on engineering best practices and tool usage.
