Job summary

Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a Government Operations Consultant II to coordinate and manage comprehensive training programs for community corrections. The role ensures staff are well-prepared and compliant with annual training requirements, delivering high-quality curricula and supporting certification of probation officers.

This position is not a telework role and requires reporting to the FDC office in the area it serves, with travel as needed to facilitate training across

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must possess a General Instructor certified through FDLE.
• Must be Correctional Probation or Correctional Officer certified.
• Must be able to travel overnight as necessary to conduct/facilitate training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage community corrections training activities and budget within the assigned region.
• Plan, manage, and administer training programs, including developing curricula and lesson plans.
• Assist with scheduling and instructing various training courses for Correctional Probation Officers and recruits.
• Maintain training records and ensure compliance with annual training requirements using E-Train and ATMS II systems.
• Provide consultation, technical assistance, and manage activities for newly hired probation officers, including their training and certification.
