Job summary

METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (MTA) Metro-North Railroad in New York seeks a Training Officer-Conductor Flag to deliver training for new hires and incumbents. You will supervise trainees, manage scheduling, and ensure completion of program requirements with accountability for performance and recordkeeping.

You will collaborate with client departments, coordinate resources, and participate in program development while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Required associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong training delivery and classroom/field instruction skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices and compliance requirements.
• Ability to mentor and evaluate new trainees and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, and deliver training programs for new hires and incumbents.
• Evaluate trainee performance and coordinate with client departments on progress.
• Develop onboarding processes and mentor new Training Officers.
• Establish peer review and share best practices across the team.
• Ensure programs meet statutory/regulatory requirements and document feedback.
