The Department of Economic Security, Division of Business Services - Office of Professional Development (DBS-OPD) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Instructional Designer. This position is responsible for the development of an agency-wide training curriculum for delivery to Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) employees. This role will design, develop, implement, revise, and evaluate courseware that meets both the training industry and Department standards, and any identified performance goals and/or business objectives.
This position collaborates with Division leadership regarding employee training, development, and accomplishments and coordinates computer-based training as needed, including outreach or special events.
This position identifies training needs on an ongoing basis through needs assessments, surveys, and meetings with work groups, consulting with systems business analysts and Department policy staff, and conducts interviews with subject matter experts on organizational requirements and performance measures. Additionally, this position assesses present and future needs to develop educational goals and objectives, initiates related curriculum, instructor guides, reports and correspondence, and prepares audio and visual materials related to the assigned training area.
This position may offer the ability to work remote, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
