As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic Sales Trainer and Coach to elevate the skills and performance of our Sales Representatives across our retail locations.

Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Sales Trainer and Coach who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. The right candidate will work directly with Sales Reps inside stores — coaching, motivating, and building selling skills live on the sales floor. You will play a critical role in developing high-performing sales teams, ensuring consistent execution of sales processes, and driving revenue growth through effective coaching and structured training systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Live Floor Coaching: Conduct regular store visits to observe sales interactions and provide immediate, targeted feedback to Sales Representatives.
• Training Delivery: Facilitate engaging, real-world sales trainings (both group and 1:1) focused on sales fundamentals, product knowledge, objection handling, and customer experience.
• Real-Time Development: Lead role-plays, on-the-floor coaching sessions, and hands-on call reviews to drive skill development.
• Sales Process Implementation: Teach and reinforce structured sales processes (scripts, steps, checklists) to ensure consistency across all stores.
• Performance Management Support: Partner with District Managers and Store Managers to identify performance gaps and execute individualized improvement plans.
• Motivation and Inspiration: Energize and inspire teams through positive coaching, leadership presence, and a focus on results without sounding scripted or cheesy.
• Ongoing Assessment: Monitor sales KPIs, training participation, and skill progress to continuously refine training approaches and measure effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Proven Top Sales Performance: Former top 5–10% performer in a retail or wireless sales environment.
• Retail Sales Expertise: 2+ years of experience in a retail sales or wireless retail environment (Metro, T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Cricket, Boost, etc.).
• Training/Coaching Experience: 1+ years in a training, coaching, leadership, or mentorship role preferred.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to break down complex concepts into simple, actionable steps for diverse learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic).
• Leadership Presence: Natural ability to influence and motivate others with energy and positivity.
• Process Driven: Believes in following proven processes, not just ad-libbing or relying solely on charisma.
• Flexibility: Able to travel between store locations within assigned region and work a flexible schedule, including weekends when necessary.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Metro by T-Mobile systems, promotions, and product lines is a plus.
