Job summary

TouchPoint in Indianapolis seeks an Environmental Services Training Manager to ensure frontline associates are prepared for high cleaning quality, safety, and patient experience standards in a hospital setting.

The role leads hands-on training, staff development, patient experience rounds, and EVS performance observations, interfacing with EVS leadership and corporate training partners to guide daily instruction.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in training, environmental services, hospitality, or healthcare support roles.
• Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multi-task and establish effective priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates initiative, responsibility, leadership, and flexibility.
• Ability to remain organized and engaged while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Experience training or working with large teams and diverse workgroups.
• Proficient computer skills to include various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the internet.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver new-hire training for hourly associates and management trainees through individualized coaching, small-group sessions, and hands-on instruction on the floor.
• Ensure associates are trained to independently perform cleaning tasks to standards.
• Support patient experience initiatives through direct engagement and observation of cleaning quality.
• Serve as a key resource for retraining, staff development, and consistent EVS practices.
• Manage a balance of administrative responsibilities and training.
• Provide clear communication and feedback loops to salaried EVS managers.
• Use corporate training initiatives to develop and guide daily training content.
• Customize training documentation, forms, and tools to meet site-specific needs.
• Prepare monthly reports outlining training activity, participation, and performance statistics.
• Serve as a liaison with other Training Coordinators, Corporate HR, and Corporate Training teams.
• Conduct housekeeper performance observations; identify gaps and provide retraining as needed.
• Facilitate training huddles, monthly town hall training topics, and ongoing education.
• Participate in patient rounding to support patient satisfaction and service recovery.
• Collaborate with the Office Manager and salaried managers for administrative tasks and sign-offs.
• Provide performance feedback and training updates to leadership.
• Additional duties as assigned

Job Summary
