Job summary

Riley Brothers, Inc. in Stoughton, MA, is seeking a Safety & Training Manager to lead the development and execution of safety, quality, and technical training across the organization.

Qualifications

• Two (2+) plus years experience in developing technical training curricula related to construction or utility is required.
• Two (2+) plus years of project management and team leadership experience is required.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
• Candidates must pass criminal and motor vehicle record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Experience creating online training with Articulate products preferred.
• Experience managing a learning management system preferred.
• English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reports.

Position Title

Safety & Training Manager

Essential Functions

Responsibilities

• Develop training curricula for safety, quality, and technical utility construction and maintenance compliance.
• Facilitate training sessions as needed in the areas of safety, field operations, and leadership.
• Oversee the operating company’s Operator Qualification (OQ) program and report monthly compliance to internal and external leadership teams.
• Conduct field and office compliance assessments of operating company personnel to ensure adherence to all Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), other regulatory agencies, clients, and operating company standards and policies.
• Communicate with operating company and clients on all personnel training document requirements and ensure documentation is being captured, stored, reviewed, and disposed of properly.
• Work with the operations departments to identify compliance risks and develop both short- and long-term solutions.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions to operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance standards and best practices are incorporated into company policies and processes; plan/lead initiatives and track key performance indicators.

Experience and Education

• Two (2+) plus years experience in developing technical training curricula related to construction or utility is required.
• Two (2+) plus years of project management and team leadership experience is required.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis.

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications

• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
