Job summary

Joint Strategic Technologies (JST) seeks Training Instructors on a part-time, 1099 contract to support the central office with substantial travel (up to 75%). The role emphasizes leadership in curriculum design, facilitation, and adult education across government and commercial programs.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in a related field, 10+ years of leadership in curriculum development, and credentials in psychometrics and executive coaching. Prior military experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience including curriculum design, facilitation, instruction, coaching and faculty development.
  • Experience facilitating and instructing adult learners in professional, academic, PME, or executive education settings.
  • Prior military experience or knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Formal teaching experience in adult education or PME.
  • Certified in psychometric assessments (e.g., 4 Lenses, Myers-Briggs, StrengthsFinder, etc.).
  • Certified Executive Coach with ICF (ACC preferred).
  • Experience applying ISD/ADDIE and Kirkpatrick models to leadership development programs.
  • Ability to analyze learning data and translate insights into improvements.
  • Experience governing instructional cadres.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze evaluation and outcome data to identify strengths, gaps and delivery risks.
  • Provide structured feedback to 1099 instructors and program leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement in facilitation methods and curriculum design.
  • Ensure evaluation methodologies support defensible outcomes in government contracting.
  • Lead instructor quality standards and define certification, onboarding and refresher requirements.
  • Ensure consistency and excellence across virtual and in-person delivery.
  • Ensure alignment across government and commercial offerings.

Overview

JST is seeking Training Instructors to support the central office.

This is a 1099 contractor position (part-time) that must have the ability and willingness to travel up to 25%-75% to support instruction, instructor development, and customer engagement.

Instructor Responsibilities
  • Analyze evaluation and outcome data to:
  • Identify instructional strengths, gaps, and delivery risks
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback to 1099 instructors and program leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement in facilitation methods, curriculum design, and learner impact
  • Ensure evaluation methodologies support defensible outcomes in government contracting and PME environments.
  • Lead instructor quality standards for the 1099 instructional cadre by:
  • Defining certification, onboarding, facilitation standards, and refresher requirements
  • Ensuring instructional consistency and facilitation excellence across virtual and in-person delivery
  • Ensuring alignment across government and commercial offerings
Instructor Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Education, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Human Development, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience, including but not limited to curriculum design, facilitation, instruction, coaching, and faculty development.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating and instructing adult learners in professional, academic, PME, or executive education institutions.
  • Prior military experience or knowledge highly preferred
  • Prior formal teaching experience in adult education, higher education, PME, or equivalent professional learning settings.
  • Certified in the following psychometric assessment to include but not limited to: 4 Lenses, StrengthsFinder, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Change Style
  • Indicator, Fundamental Interpersonal Orientation - Behavior, Thomas Killman Instrument, Campbell Leadership Index 360, Influence Style Indicator, Work Place Big 5, Decision Style Profile, Pearman, etc.
  • Certified Executive Coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), ACC preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise applying ISD/ADDIE, and Kirkpatrick model to leadership development programs.
  • Proven ability to analyze learning data and translate insights into instructional and facilitation improvements.
  • Experience governing and supporting instructional cadres.
Required Clearances and Screenings
  • MUST be able to successfully pass a drug and background check
  • Must be able to travel and teach independently
