US Department of War Education Activity is looking for qualified individuals to serve as Training Instructor (Substitute), AD-1712-00. You must meet the education requirement and reside within the local commuting area surrounding the work site.
Positions are not covered by a bargaining unit. You will be referred for consideration for nearby locations within the same commuting area as needs arise and when opportunities are available.
About the Position: Positions are located within the Americas Mid Atlantic and Southeast Districts.
These positions are not covered by a bargaining unit. All candidates must reside within the local commuting area where the position is located. Local commuting area is defined as the geographic area surrounding a work site that encompasses the localities where people live and reasonably can be expected to travel back and forth daily. (5 CFR 575.203)
This announcement will be used to fill Substitute positions in one of two different series based on your level of education. When the Principal requests to hire more Substitute teachers at a school, candidates from both series will be referred for consideration and selection. When you submit your application, you will be required to identify your level of education. In order to qualify for this Substitute position, you must meet one of the education requirements described below.
Training Instructor (Substitute), AD-1712-00: You must possess a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED). You are not required to submit a copy of your diploma.
You will receive only one job offer from this posting. However, once hired, you may be given opportunities to work as a substitute at other locations within the same commuting area, based on operational needs and availability.
