Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, TX, seeks a development programs supervisor to plan, implement, and evaluate a variety of professional and technical development programs for all employees.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating orientation programs, organizing continuing education, skills training, leadership and management development programs, and ensuring access to resources and facilities for in-service education. Familiarity with ABSL-3/4 and animal husbandry is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and two years related experience.
• Experience with quality management platforms, including Mastercontrol.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates orientation programs for employees.
• Cooperatively plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates continuing education programs, skills training, leadership, and management development programs.
• Identifies resources and facilities essential to provision of in-service education.
• Assists in identifying learning needs.
• Adheres to internal controls established for department.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Ability to obtain access and work within ABSL-3 and ABSL-4.
• Previous experience with animal models and animal husbandry.
• Capable of quickly adapting to electronic documentation, training management, deviation tracking, and controlled document workflows required in a regulated environment.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and two years related experience.
