The Department of Human Resources Administration’s Training and Employee Development Branch is seeking a Training Development Specialist I who will beginprofessional level work in providing competency-based training for employees and managers in the Executive andLegislative Branches. This rewarding position is responsible for learning course content and providingfeedback to course designers concerning the strengths and weaknesses of courses. This position will play anactive role in the delivery of training sessions and the review of eLearning content within the learningmanagement system. Additionally, this position is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of workshops andserves as back up to the system administrator and learning liaison for the learning management system.

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

Experience in planning, coordinating, or conducting staff development and training courses or experience in teaching or professional experience in providing or administering human services or governmental programs will substitute for the required education on the basis of one year of experience for two years of education. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
