Job summary

Georgia Pines Community Service Board is seeking a skilled trainer to join our community-based behavioral health and developmental services team in South Georgia. This is a full-time, at-will position with benefits, working with leadership to shape training programs and support staff across six rural counties.

You will design seminars, prepare educational materials, mentor new employees, and ensure attendance and performance tracking, while applying diverse teaching methods and leveraging MS

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with at least two years teaching or training experience.
  • Instructors with certification preferred.
  • Experience with instructional design and varied teaching methods.

Responsibilities

  • Identify training needs with leadership and plan programs.
  • Deliver seminars, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Prepare materials and video modules for education.
  • Mentor new employees and support staff.
  • Design, schedule, and track training sessions.

Job Summary:

Exciting new opportunity to start and to join an innovative, community-based behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disabilities services organization located in South Georgia. Georgia Pines Community Service Board is a public, not-for-profit organization with an annual budget of $25M and a diverse workforce of 300+ direct-care and support staff. We provide services to 6 rural counties with several locations. We strive to provide the highest quality, evidence-based services in the least restrictive settings.

Responsibilities
  • Work with leadership to determine training needs.
  • Conduct seminars, workshops, training sessions etc.
  • Prepare educational material such as module summaries and videos
  • Support and mentor new employees
  • Plan and schedule training sessions
  • Design and implement training programs.
  • Select and book venues as needed.
  • Track and keep employee attendance.
  • Monitor and present employee performance.
  • Will perform HR duties as assigned when not instructing

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED AND Two years of experience in providing educational, training, or instructional services in functional area. Preference will be given to applicants with instructor experience or current certifications.
