This is a rare opportunity for a proven professional to design, build, and lead a training program that strengthens skills, deepens knowledge, fosters excellence, and impacts lives across our 1,350 employee-owners. Your work will directly support how Mead Lumber engages with customers, builders, vendors, and each other — all while honoring the traditions that have made us a leader in the LBM industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess organizational training needs across all departments and locations.
- Develop a comprehensive, actionable Training Roadmap aligned with company goals.
- Create and manage engaging, industry-specific training programs and content.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to turn technical expertise into practical, accessible learning solutions.
- Deliver effective and inspiring training sessions, both live and virtual.
- Maximize the capabilities of UKG’s e-learning platform to scale training company-wide.
- Establish metrics to measure training effectiveness.
- Support the development and delivery of safety training in coordination with HR and Operations to reinforce Mead’s strong safety culture and compliance across all locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing, delivering, and managing training programs, preferably within the building materials, construction, or industrial sectors.
- Expertise with e-learning platforms and tools, such as Articulate.
- Strong strategic planning abilities, combined with a hands-on approach to implementation.
- Results-driven with a proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes.
- Experience working with UKG’s Learning Management System (LMS) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety training standards or willing to learn, is a plus.
