Job description

Do you want to be part of a team where your contributions are truly valued? At CriticalArc, our People First culture is at the heart of everything we do. We are experiencing rapid growth and are constantly seeking talented individuals eager to take on new challenges, innovate, and make a real impact. Our core competency is data center commissioning, though our teams also handle complex infrastructure projects in other mission-critical spaces. We believe that our success comes from empowering our team, fostering collaboration, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and supported

We are building out a comprehensive new Commissioning Training program and are seeking a highly capable Training Content Developer / Instructor to assist with this initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for curriculum development: translating highly complex technical systems into accessible training materials, and getting that content built into our learning management system (LMS). You will also serve as one of our instructors, ensuring our commissioning teams have the knowledge they need to succeed in the field.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Background: 6 to 10 years of experience as of hands on, technical experience.
  • Training Credentials: Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualification is highly desired.
  • Communication: Essential ability to translate highly technical systems and deliver that knowledge effectively to varied audiences.
  • Remote Capability: Ability to work independently and manage projects in a ~75% remote role (West Coast location preferred for time zone alignment and travel efficiency).
  • Technical Aptitude: Experience or strong aptitude for working with LMS platforms (Litmos experience is a plus) and digital authoring tools.
Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Assist with the development of comprehensive training materials from scratch, focusing on mission-critical facility operations, electrical/mechanical systems, and commissioning procedures.
  • LMS Content Creation: Build interactive, engaging course content directly into our LMS authoring tool (Litmos).
  • Technical Translation: Break down complex engineering concepts and deliver that knowledge effectively to personnel with a wide variety of backgrounds and experience levels.
  • Instruction & Delivery: Deliver the training modules you build to our commissioning teams, both virtually and in-person.
  • Curriculum Alignment: Travel initially to our Carlsbad, CA headquarters to assist with onboarding training and ensure online modules perfectly align with the in-person curriculum being built.
  • Field Training Execution: Travel to active project sites (including Reno, Mesa, TX, and Salt Lake City) to deliver continuing education and hands-on training to our field engineers.
