Job summary

KenCCID is seeking a Training Coordinator to develop and deliver job-specific training for Community House Managers (CHMs) and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) under the direction of the Training Manager. The role focuses on applying current regulatory updates and implementing applicable training to CHMs and DSPs, while using the LMS to track content and ensure on-time sessions.

The Administrative Office is in Philadelphia, PA with local travel to community homes as required.

Qualifications

• Experience training adults in healthcare or developmental disabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field with 3 years experience, or associate degree with 5 years.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• ODP certification as medication administration trainer or ability to achieve within 90 days.
• CPR trainer certification or ability to achieve within one month.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus.
• Experience with LMS for creation, tracking and delivery of training content.
• Ability to read, write, and fluently speak and understand English in a business setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software; Adobe Captivate/Audition a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and rights of individuals are observed at all times.
• Conduct New Hire Orientation for KenCCID staff.
• Oversee training requirements including medication administration, CPR, and continuing education as required by PA law and KenCCID policies.
• Identify training needs for CHMs, DSPs, Residential Directors, and others.
• Deliver or facilitate follow-up training with Residential, Compliance, and HR teams.
• Utilize LMS to track and deliver training content.
• Deliver or facilitate all NHO training, schedule and oversee internal trainers, reserve facilities, ensure materials.
• Disseminate NHO schedule; ensure trainers are available and on-time.
• Cross-train staff for continuity when instructors are absent.
• Develop familiarity with KenCCID policies and procedures.
• Facilitate regular training sessions in areas required by 6100 and 6400 regulations (CPR, fire safety, medication administration, insulin).
• Ensure employees meet ODP continuing education standards; assign training in LMS and provide refresher training.
• Track employees with upcoming ODP training expirations and perform outreach to ensure compliance.
• Other training duties as assigned.
