Job Summary

The Training Specialist will deliver classroom and field training for the DOL-approved MasTec Transmission Apprentice Program, including New Hire Orientations and courses like OSHA-10 ETD, OSHA-20 HR, First Aid/CPR, and equipment training. The role requires travel to job sites for in-person, virtual, and E-Learning sessions. Remote work is permitted, but candidates must reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, or New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and field training for the MasTec Apprentice Program.
• Maintain training records and monitor apprentice progress.
• Plan lessons aligned with the Apprentice Program.
• Ensure safety culture and compliance among apprentices.
• Travel up to 50% to various locations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• At least 5 years in Transmission Construction and 3 years in Training
• Ability to travel and a valid driver’s license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
• Strong communication skills
• Strategic and independent thinking with leadership ability

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Utility Industry
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
• OSHA 500, 510, OSHA-10 ETD, OSHA-20 HR certifications
• First Aid, CPR, AED certifications
• Experience in OSHA Safety & Health

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role operates in a field environment requiring physical activity such as bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various weather conditions.
