Job summary

Health Federation of Philadelphia is seeking a part-time Training Coordinator to assist in planning, designing, and evaluating training programs for ETC target audience including case managers in the Philadelphia EMA. This includes distance-based/virtual learning modalities, materials development, cataloging, and data/tracking activities.

Responsibilities include identifying materials, providing data support to evaluate training, monitoring activities, collecting feedback, coordinating statewide

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in capacity building, training, and/or distance-based education.
  • Experience working with direct care providers and/or community organizing
  • Content expertise in HIV-related topics and organization development preferred
  • Knowledge of distance-based education modalities a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Google Suites, Excel and Canva
  • Able to handle multiple tasks with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with diverse audiences and cultures
  • Knowledge of virtual learning platforms

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, designing, and evaluating training programs for ETC target audience including case managers and their supervisors in the Philadelphia EMA.
  • Identify materials to meet the needs of specific training audiences, including literature searches on HIV and related topics.
  • Provide data assistance to evaluate training processes, track impact, and identify follow-up training and technical assistance.
  • Monitor training activities, collect participant feedback, and identify follow-up training needs.
  • Review HIV literature to stay current and provide materials for training programs and toolkits.
  • Collaborate with training team on projects, networking, and updates to advance agency goals.
  • Coordinate statewide trainings across PA Department of Health and assist in implementing distance-based learning plans.
  • Meet with clinicians and funders to determine training goals and assess participant needs.
  • Organize training materials, agendas, sign-in sheets, certificates, and packets.
  • Assist with outreach to increase participation in HIV prevention, care, and treatment training.
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB SUMMARY

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Assist in identifying materials to meet the needs of specific training audiences, including conducting literature searches on HIV and related topics.
  • Provide data assistance to evaluate training processes and results, track impact, and identify follow-up training and technical assistance.
  • Support the Program Coordinator by helping monitor training activities, collecting participant feedback and identifying follow-up training needs
  • Review relevant HIV literature to remain current in the field and to provide materials for inclusion in training programs, toolkits, and materials.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with the training team regarding projects, networking, and organizational updates to further agency goals.
  • Assist in creating and implementing,Assist in the creation and implementation with the Case Management Training T/A Coordinator , a distance-based learning plan that involves multiple components of methodology, and collaborate with other training and education partners.
  • Plan and manage the coordination and implementation of statewide case managers trainings across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Health.
  • Collaborate with team members in the coordination and implementation of statewide case manager trainings across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
  • Meet with clinicians, program administrators and/or funders to determine training goals using a variety of methods to assist with assessing participants training needs.
  • Organize training materials, agendas, sign-in sheets, certificates, and presentation packets.
  • Assist with outreach efforts to increase participation in HIV prevention, care, and treatment training programs.
  • Other duties as assigned
Education: Bachelor in Social Work, Education, Public Health or a closely related field or equivalent level of education and experience.
Skills/Experience
  • At least 2 years' experience in capacity building, training, and/or distance-based education.
  • Experience working with direct care providers and/or community organizing
  • Content expertise in fields of HIV disease and organization development preferred
  • Knowledge of distance-based education modalities a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Work Environment: Standard office setting with extended periods at work station and periodic use of office equipment.

Position Type and Work Schedule: Parttime position, 30 hours/week, schedule to be determined but must be Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. Flex office schedule options available with supervisor approval.

Travel: Some local travel to multiple sites and community meetings

Physical Demands: Standard office setting. Travel to multiple sites and community meetings and ability to transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
