Montgomery Planning is part of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). The Training and Development Intern will be responsible for:
Students must currently be enrolled at a college or university at the undergraduate or graduate level and must have at least a 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
Currently enrolled in college pursuing either an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in human resource management, human resources development, industrial psychology, psychology, or a field of study related to the discipline of the area to which assigned.
Student who has received a Bachelor's Degree and accepted or enrolled in a Master's Degree Program pursuing a degree in human resource management, human resources development, industrial psychology, psychology, or a field of study related to the discipline of the area to which assigned.
In addition to the minimum qualifications listed above, the selected intern should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as Canva. Preferred qualifications include experience creating presentations, marketing materials, webpages, or other communication resources, and experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential.
