Virginia Green’s Summer Internship Program offers hands‑on experience across multiple departments. As a Training and Development Intern, you’ll support learning initiatives, explore how training is created and delivered, and see how development helps employees succeed.

You will develop materials, work with experts, organize a learning library, assist with onboarding, and gain exposure to LMS tools. This paid internship includes mentorship and career exploration opportunities.

Day in the Life:

• Help develop training materials, presentations, e-learning modules, videos, and other learning resources.
• Partner with subject matter experts to create content that supports employee development and company goals.
• Organize and maintain a learning library so employees can find and use resources.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of our Learning Management System (LMS).
• Assist with tracking training participation and gathering feedback to evaluate programs.
• Research learning and development trends and share ideas to improve training resources.
• Create internal communications and promotional materials to encourage employees to use the learning library.
• Support new hire onboarding and explore other areas of Human Resources.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• Current college student in good standing, ideally entering your junior or senior year and pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• An interest in employee development, instructional design, or content creation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with employees at different levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles is a plus; classroom or adult education experience is helpful.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, and twist as needed.
• Ability to lift approximately 15-20 pounds.

$18 - $19 an hour

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
