Position Summary

The position requires a working knowledge of Epic products, healthcare operations in a clinical setting and/or patient accounting, superior customer service skills, and the willingness and ability to function as part of a dynamic team. The Training Analyst will develop curriculum, lesson plans, test data for their respective application, and participate in the design, build, and validation of both the application and training environments used for in-class training. Responsible for presenting education programs for new and existing system applications to end-users of Epic systems.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Provides training for new and existing Epic applications for approximately 3,000 end-users at the School of Medicine.
  2. Provides proficiency training for key leaders and physicians requiring knowledge of Epic.
  3. Incorporates adult learning techniques, creativity, and best practices to achieve desired outcomes.
  4. Pilots new courses during development, collects feedback, and delivers training confidently to co-workers, physicians, and leadership.
  5. Develops curriculum, including practice exercises and assessments, and builds training test environments for new applications.
  6. Participates in design, build, and validation sessions with FPP Information Systems to develop curriculum.
  7. Leads promotion of system initiatives.
  8. Researches and contributes to the design, development, and revision of course materials.
  9. Maintains current training programs and updates course materials and job aids.
  10. Builds partnerships across the School of Medicine, acting as a liaison between clinical departments and PBS.
  11. Provides consulting on office procedures, policies, and setup.
  12. Develops and delivers training solutions to maximize departmental performance.
  13. Engages with ongoing reading on training and development best practices.
  14. Attends courses to stay updated on adult learning and training techniques.
  15. Working Conditions

    Job Location/Working Conditions: Normal office and patient care settings.

    Physical Effort: Sitting at a desk, standing, walking, occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).

    Equipment: Office equipment.

    Qualifications

    Required:

  • Education: No diploma, certification, or degree required.
  • Certifications: None required.
  • Work Experience: 2 years in Medical Information, Clinical Operations, Accounts Receivable, and/or Epic Applications.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Additional work experience beyond the required.
  • Skills: Adult Learning Theory, Facilitation, Leadership, Training Development, Microsoft Office, Communication, etc.

Additional Information: Salary range is $49,700 - $82,100 annually, based on qualifications and performance.
