Job summary

AdventHealth in Burleson, TX seeks an experienced Training Manager to lead daily operations of the training team supporting physician practice operations and EHR adoption. You’ll coordinate schedules, assess program effectiveness, and maintain regulatory compliance across ambulatory services.

Required: 5+ years in healthcare training, a Bachelor's in health administration (Master's preferred), and experience with Athena, Cerner, or Epic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health administration or related field is required.
• Minimum 5+ years in physician practice operations and training in healthcare.
• Experience in adult learning and instructional design in ambulatory settings.
• Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and training adoption.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the training team and coordinate staff schedules.

Job Description:

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Travel required as needed.

• Manages daily operations of the training team, coordinating work activities and staff schedules.
• Assess training program and instructional effectiveness and summarize evaluation reports determining the impact of training on employee skills and how it affects KPIs.
• Serves as a liaison between physician enterprise and medical group to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Regularly meets with PE leadership to provide updates on ambulatory projects.
• Assesses and addresses training needs, modifying trainers’ schedules as necessary to ensure success of the region.
• Identifies and communicates potential barriers, risks, or delays related to training and learning plans.
• Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of training programs, recommending improvements.
• Identifies process issues and shares findings to improve future training materials and methods.
• Ensures staff adherence to compliance regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Tracks training team’s time and attendance in a timely manner. Working hours are on site, full time; Monday - Friday, occasional weekends may be required.
• Up to 75% travel may be required with occasional overnight stays.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Possesses extensive knowledge of adult learning styles and training delivery in support of physician practice operations including adoption of practice management and EHR systems. [Required]
• Possesses knowledge of how to identify education and training needs in a healthcare setting and participate in related program development and instruction. [Required]
• Possesses extensive experiencing implementing and coordinating traditional and modern training methods and techniques. [Required]
• Possesses working knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation. [Required]
• Demonstrates ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinator, monitor and evaluate) within an ambulatory healthcare environment. [Required]
• Demonstrates ability to develop/make effective presentations and serve as a trainer. [Required]
• Demonstrates prominent participation in practice management and EHR implementation and/or ongoing support and training programs. [Required]
• Displays knowledge and skills necessary to deliver quality educational instruction to all levels of staff (including external agencies) in a clear and concise manner. [Required]
• Possesses ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with all levels of employees, facilitate group processes and change. [Required]
• Demonstrates ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills. [Required]
• Possesses strong conflict resolution and customer relation skills. [Required]
• Excels at prioritization and coordination of multiple projects. [Required]

• Possesses knowledge in healthcare operations, information technology, revenue cycle, physician practice operations, clinical operations, nursing workflow, physician work flow, and medical information management. [Required]
• Demonstrates understanding of revenue cycle and compliance practices. [Required]
• Experienced in application of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills and strong Microsoft Excel skills. [Required]
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation. [Required]
• Knowledge of/experience with athenaCollector, athenaClinicals, Cerner, and Epic [Preferred]
• Other EHR implementation and training experience [Preferred]
• Knowledge of quality reporting and physician practice regulatory programs (e.g., HEDIS, MACRA, PQRS) [Preferred]
• Expertise in process mapping and process mapping tools [Preferred]
• Project management experience [Preferred]
