Job summary

ArcBest is seeking a Trainer I - Campus to design and deliver cross-functional training across all divisions and campuses. You will research, develop, and conduct training aimed at improving performance and alignment with company initiatives.

The role includes creating content for online and in-person training, delivering sessions, and supporting supervisors with performance improvement through coaching and job shadowing. Bachelor’s preferred; 2 years in logistics-related training desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a sales, operations or customer service role at a transportation or logistics company, preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Captivate, Microsoft Office Suite and Internal Logistics Applications, required.

Job Description

The Trainer I - Campus provides cross-functional training and support to all divisions within ArcBest with the goal of improving performance. This position includes researching, developing, and conducting training for all ArcBest divisions and campuses.

Responsibilities

• Champion Company values, policies, and initiatives.


• Collaborate with leadership and other stakeholders to identify training needs and develop appropriate training proposals.


• Develop content for online training modules, instructor-led training (virtual and in-person), videos, and other training resources as needed.


• Train newly hired and tenured employees on orientation and required competencies.


• Review supervisor feedback and provide job shadowing functions to assist management with the improvement of individual performance.


• Provide training assistance for Company initiatives.


• Assist with facilitating ArcBest University in-person and virtual classes.


• Demonstrate basic content development and classroom presentation skills, with guidance and support from senior trainers.


• Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferred

Experience:

• 2 years of experience in a sales, operations or customer service role at a transportation or logistics company, preferred

Other Details

Work Hours:

• Generally 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload and training schedule.

Travel Requirements:

• Minimal (0%-25%) This role may require occasional travel to various Company locations to deliver in-person training and support to employees.

Compensation:

• This is a salary position paid biweekly.
