Job summary

Energy Transfer in Honolulu is seeking a Terminal Operator Trainee to support fuel terminal operations on Oahu. You will report to the Terminal Supervisor and perform maintenance, monitor flow, and coordinate product transfers to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires basic math, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to handle hazardous materials safely. You will participate in on-call duties and uphold company safety policies in a busy port facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs terminal maintenance to correct mechanical problems at the load rack and within the terminal pipeline system.
• Functions as a member of the 24-hour on-call Terminal Oil Spill Response Team.
• Receives/transfers products by pipeline and ship/barge.
• Monitors flow rate into tanks and performs hourly gauging/leak checks.
• Assists contractor with pipeline pressure testing and load rack meter calibration; pulls samples for truck tank testing.
• Performs truck washing, janitorial duties, and general housekeeping.
