Job summary

Aloha Petroleum, LTD is seeking a Terminal Operator to support the Fuel Terminal facility in Honolulu. You will perform terminal maintenance, receive and transfer products by pipeline and ship/barge, and participate in 24-hour on-call response for spill management.

The role requires basic arithmetic, mechanical aptitude, and hazardous materials training, with the possibility of on-site duties and coordinating outside repairs. Training and compliance are essential to safe operations.

Qualifications

• Performs basic arithmetic and other mathematical calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude is required to operate and troubleshoot terminal equipment.
• Hazardous material training is required to handle and ship hazardous materials safely.

Responsibilities

• Performs terminal maintenance to correct mechanical problems at the load rack and related equipment, and coordinates outside repair when needed.
• Functions as a member of the 24-hour on-call Terminal Oil Spill Response Team.
• Receives and transfers products by pipeline and ship/barge; monitors pipeline configuration and tank operations.
• Monitors flow rates into tanks and performs manual and hourly gauging of tanks; uses basic math to compute capacity.
• Performs facility testing, assists with pipeline pressure testing and meter calibration, and collects samples for testing.
• Performs truck washing, janitorial duties, and general housekeeping; participates in security rounds.
