Job summary

Aloha is seeking a Terminal Operator to report to the Terminal Supervisor and perform a range of terminal and transportation activities at the Fuel Terminal facility in Hawaii. You will ensure safe receipt and shipment of hazardous materials in compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities include maintenance of load racks, tank gauging, and coordinating with contractors for testing and calibration, while participating in the 24-hour on-call Oil Spill Response Team.

Qualifications

• Performs basic arithmetic and other mathematical calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Hazardous material training.
• Ensures safe and efficient receipt and shipping of hazardous material with full authority to stop and prevent an unsafe act.

Responsibilities

• Performs terminal maintenance, including repair of load rack and related equipment, and coordinates outside repairs.
• Functions as a member of the 24-hour on-call Terminal Oil Spill Response Team.
• Receives/transfers products by pipeline and ship/barge.
• Monitors flow rate into tanks.
• Performs manual gauging of tanks.
• Performs hourly gauging/leak checks.
• Assists contractors with pipeline pressure testing and load rack meter calibration.
• Pulls samples for delivery truck tank testing and Reid Vapor Pressure testing.
