Job summary

Silvertip Completion Services in Midland, TX is hiring for a field pump technician responsible for installation and disassembly of pumps and data recording equipment, following manufacturer standards and safety guidelines. The role involves monitoring processes to maximize quality, handling shipping duties, operating and maintaining pump equipment, and collaborating with crew and technicians.

Candidates should have oilfield experience and a valid driver’s license; long shifts and physical work

Qualifications

• 1 year oilfield experience preferred.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme conditions.
• Willing to work 12+ hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Housing is not offered.
• You must be 21 years or older.
• Knowledge of transferring pumps and fueling processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installation / disassembly of pumps and data recording equipment per OEM standards.
• Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts processes to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Performs shipping/loading/unloading duties in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots pump truck and equipment; keeps operation records.
• Provides support to crew and liaises with technicians on equipment failure.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Job Summary

• Installation / disassembly (rig up/rig down) of pumps and data recording equipment in accordance with original manufacturer’s standards including verification of applicable certifications. Assembles, secures, and disconnects equipment.

• Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency. Tasks are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate industry standards.

• Performs a combination of shipping, loading, and unloading duties. Follows all standard shipping practices and procedures in full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including additional transportation routing and scheduling requirements. Verifies and document’s identity and quantity of all equipment.

• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots pump truck and equipment including diagnostics, as well as keeps records for the overall operation.
  Ensures compliance with all regulations applicable to pressure pumping operations

Clean and maintain company vehicles, tools, & equipment; Troubleshoot tool, equipment, and truck problems; Rebuild pumps in the shop and in the field

Provides support to crew members with operations on and off location and liaises with technicians on equipment failure

• Maintaining a current and valid driver’s is required

• Able to safely preform duties during a 12+ hour work shift that will include day, nights, weekends, holidays, and extreme weather conditions

• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift

• Strong work ethic

• Can perform well in high stress environments and meet time-sensitive deadlines which may include emergency response situations

• Can work effectively on a team as well as independently
