Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in the United States offers a structured Training Program designed to prepare you for a career across our nationwide network. You will observe and work in commercial, production, and corporate roles, with the location nearest to your home serving as the base.

Upon completion, you will pursue roles aligned with your goals as Southern Tire Mart provides growth opportunities from the entry level through a full-time career in stores across the country.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be 21 years of age to apply.
• Active driver's license.
• Provide documentation regarding their previous employment.
• Willingness to relocate.
• Self-starter and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Learn different aspects of the tire business.
• Assist assigned location with anything necessary.
• Participate in hands on training in different roles throughout the company.
• Develop network of resources and assets within the company to assist with future positions in the company.
• Learn to effectively utilize point of sale system (MaddenCo).
• Initiate meetings with their supervisor to discuss progress.
• Fulfil all learning and assessment requirements of the training program.
• Listen to feedback and improve accordingly.

The Training Program is designed to prepare the trainee for a career with Southern Tire Mart with growth in mind. In the Training Program you will be able to observe and work commercial, production, and corporate positions throughout the company throughout the country. Upon completion of the Training Program, the trainee will begin a career based on similarities between the trainees' professional goals and Southern Tire Mart's needs. The training program is completed at a location closest to your home. the full-time career roles that follow could be at any store location in the country!

• Learn different aspects of the tire business
• Assist assigned location with anything necessary
• Participate in hands on training in different roles throughout the company
• Develop network of resources and assets within the company to assist with future positions in the company
• Learn to effectively utilize point of sale system (MaddenCo)
• Initiate meetings with their supervisor to regularly discuss and receive feedback on their progress in the training program
• Fulfil all learning and assessment requirements of the training program, ensuring these are submitted on time
• Listen carefully to feedback, and avoid internally refuting or categorically defending themselves against feedback they perceive to be negative
