Job summary

Tucson Electric Power is seeking a System Supervisor Trainee to supervise the operation of the electric system ensuring reliability and safety. The trainee will undergo a seven-step training program and is expected to gain knowledge in Distribution, Transmission, and Balancing Authority operations.

The role involves responsibilities like managing the daily operation of the distribution system, preparing switching procedures, and coordinating with other utilities during emergencies. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED, with relevant experience in the Electric Utility industry preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the Electric Utility industry.
• NERC certification or an Associates Power degree is a plus.
• Ability to evaluate information and make timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operation of the distribution system and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain and prepare switching procedures for system maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and Balancing Authorities.
