Job summary

Arkana Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Training in the Electron Microscopy department. You will train in preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists, under limited supervision.

We value teamwork, safety and accuracy, with a schedule Monday–Friday 6:30am–3:30pm and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree with at least 12 biology/chemistry hours.
• Histology-specific skills preferred; lab experience helpful.
• Proficient in MS Word and basic MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess tissue adequacy for testing and maintain logs.
• Perform QC checks and monitor equipment performance.
• Follow SOPs and maintain laboratory standards.
• Assist in accessioning and other duties as needed.
