Job summary

Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE (Montrose) seeks a Trained Medication Assistant (TMA) to support on-site medication administration and daily resident care. You will work under licensed supervision to ensure medications are administered correctly and residents receive needed ADL assistance.

Requirements include a high school diploma, QMAP, CNA certification, and at least one year of experience with the frail or elderly. A valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year experience working with frail or elderly population.
  • QMAP (Medication Admin) certification required.
  • Registered or certified as a Nursing Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of medications and treatments as delegated by a licensed nurse.
  • ADL assistance to residents as assigned and observation of residents' general status.
  • Accurate documentation of medications and treatments administered and performed per facility policy.

Pay Range: $20 - $24 per hour based on experienceSchedule: M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm, weekends not required.

What You Bring (Requirements)

  • A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Registered or certified as a nursing assistant.
  • Completion of a state approved training program in medication administration with certificate received (QMAP).
  • Minimum of one year experience working with the frail or elderly population required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and have means of transportation.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

The Trained Medication Assistant (TMA) is to maintain our pharmacy database with up-to-date and accurate information. Responsibilities include ordering, receiving, storage, distribution and discontinuation of participant’s medications and maintaining all required documentation for medication and treatment administration.

  • Administration of medications and treatments as delegated by a licensed nurse.
  • ADL assistance to residents as assigned and observation of the resident’s general status.
  • Documentation: Accurate documentation of medications and treatments administered and performed according to all facility policy and procedures.
