Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE (Montrose) is seeking a Trained Medication Assistant (TMA) in Montrose, CO. This is a paid opportunity to serve others and make a meaningful impact in a healthcare setting. A valid driver’s license and transportation are required.

We offer a range of benefits and a supportive team environment, with a schedule of Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm; weekends not required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Registered or certified as a nursing assistant.
• Completion of a state approved training program in medication administration with certificate received (QMAP).
• Minimum of one year experience working with the frail or elderly population required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and have means of transportation.

Responsibilities

• The Trained Medication Assistant (TMA) is to maintain our pharmacy database with up-to-date and accurate information. Responsibilities include ordering, receiving, storage, distribution and discontinuation of participant’s medications and maintaining all required documentation for medication and treatment administration.
• Administration of medications and treatments as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• ADL assistance to residents as assigned and observation of the resident’s general status.
• Documentation: Accurate documentation of medications and treatments administered and performed according to all facility policy and procedures.
