Job summary

Alstom in Boston seeks a Train Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance strategies for the fleet and ensure operational continuity in rail systems across the network.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), and advance predictive maintenance through IoT sensors and data analytics, driving uptime and lifecycle cost reductions while supporting safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS systems (Maximo or SAP PM).
• Strong knowledge of traction, braking, and onboard diagnostics.
• Experience using RCA and FMEA methodologies.
• Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive maintenance strategies to ensure fleet reliability.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with production and service goals.
• Apply RCA and FMEA to drive root-cause analysis and mitigation.
• Leverage IoT sensors and data analytics to enable predictive maintenance.
• Develop technical documentation and mentor junior engineers.
