National Park Service in Yosemite National Park, California seeks a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor (Trails) to oversee all trails maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction activities for over 800 miles of park trails. You will lead crews, coordinate emergencies, and ensure safety and resource protection.

The role includes winter operations, infrastructure projects, and logistics management for backcountry work, reporting to the Division of Facilities Management. Federal wage system applies.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and directing maintenance and construction activities.
• Ability to lead repair and emergency maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with trails infrastructure and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Plan, direct, and oversee operations for front country and backcountry trails.
• Lead repair, rehabilitation, maintenance, and emergency work on trails and bridges.
• Oversee winter snow removal on paved front country trails and sidewalks.
• Manage supply chains: forecast seasonal needs, order food, tools and fuel.
• Coordinate backcountry resupply by pack and helicopter.
