Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Six months of package handler or switcher/CDL operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches by hooking and moving a parked trailer from the yard to a load/unload door or vice versa.
• Communicate with management to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Load and unload packages onto or from delivery vehicles and conveyors.
• Sort packages by scanning labels and charts and load accordingly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
