Job summary

Lakeshore Talent is partnering with Merritt Trailers to hire a skilled Welder in Henderson, CO. This role combines welding and mechanical assembly to build livestock, commodity and gooseneck trailers from raw materials.

Ideal candidates will have MIG and TIG welding experience, blueprint reading skills, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced trailer production environment. Shift is Monday–Friday, 5:30am–1:00pm, with potential for extension or hire and pay up to $26/hr.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of welding experience.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding on aluminum and steel.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to use hand, air, and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, gauges, etc.).
• Ability to perform basic shop math (fractions, decimals, conversions).
• Experience with basic electrical components such as connecting harnesses is a bonus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on metal components per specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
• Set up welding equipment and adjust settings for proper weld quality.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
• Inspect welds to ensure strength, accuracy, and visual quality.
• Assemble components using work orders, blueprints, and production instructions.
• Cut raw materials to size using tape measures and power saws.
• Position and align parts prior to fastening.
• Fasten components using bolts, screws, rivets, and other hardware.
• Drill, ream, and prepare holes for proper assembly.
• Operate fabrication tools such as grinders, drills, rivet guns, saws, and other hand tools.
• Measure finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
• Lift materials and finished products as needed (up to 50 lbs).
• Collaborate with team members to support productivity and meet production goals.
